About us

The Department of General and Abdominal Surgery is a department with a reputation. We stand for the following emphases: large tumour surgery, gastric and intestinal surgery, proctology, thyroid surgery and key competence in hernia surgery (Hernia Centre). At her previous place of activity, at the Asklepios Nord Hospital in Heidberg, Prof. Tonus and her team successfully performed over 1,500 hernia procedures and close on 7,000 surgical procedures on the intestines.

The intensive care medical treatment options at our major hospital, with a large number of specialised departments under one roof, will provide for your safety, even for surgery with the highest level of difficulty.
