Worn joints limit mobility in everyday life. Our goal is better quality of life for our patients. The team under Asst Lect. Dr Michael Ruf and Section Head, Dr Klaus Wieselhuber, of the Endoprosthetics Centre in Karlsbad, treats patients in accordance with the most up to date therapeutic techniques in order to ensure your ability to move and mobility until old age.
Dr Wieselhuber is the Senior Consultant of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology and, in the field of endoprosthetics, treats patients with wear and injuries to the large joints (knee, hip). The team under Dr Klaus Wieselhuber (Karlsbad) focuses its everyday work on the first-time artificial replacement of e.g. knee, hip, shoulder or ankle joints (so-called endoprosthetics). A further particular focus of Dr Wieselhuber and his department is performing so-called exchange surgery. Here, old artificial joints are exchanged for patients, when these have e.g. loosened, if there is an infection or if the prostheses themselves show wear. Wherever possible, Dr Klaus Wieselhuber and his colleagues use gentle, so-called minimally invasive techniques. As well as in-patient treatment, many procedures are also provided for patients in our out-patients’ clinic.
The advantage for you at the SRH Hospital in Karlsbad:
