There are many ways to help in cases of involuntary childlessness. Organic causes and psychological stress factors should be assessed and treated individually. Treatment embracing body, mind and spirit in equal measure is the most rewarding. Prof. Feichtinger and the team at the Feichtinger Fertility Centre offer the most up to date methods with the latest technologies in a family setting:
We recommend a medical investigation of an unfulfilled desire for children if a pregnancy fails to occur for a couple within a year in spite of regular, unprotected sexual intercourse. A great number of factors affect the fertility of both men and women; advanced age, environmental factors and stress are only some of the factors that can have an adverse effect. Statistically, the medical causes of an unfulfilled desire for children lie equally with both men and women.
Prof. Feichtinger in Vienna, himself, has seven children, was born in Vienna, studied here at the Medical Faculty of the University of Vienna before he received his post-doctoral qualifications in the field of reproductive medicine in 1986. Five years later, Prof. Feichtinger also qualified in the field of gynaecology and obstetrics.
