The Department of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Charité – University Medicine Berlin is associated within the university structure with the Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery (CMSC). As a specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery / special trauma surgery, Prof. Scheibel deals with the entire range of conservative and surgical care of all acute injuries and degenerative conditions of the shoulder, the shoulder girdle and the elbow joint, as well as the treatment required for accident sequelae and degenerative changes.
Prof. Scheibel possesses long-standing experience in the field of shoulder surgery. Together with his clinical activity, Prof. Scheibel works as the organizer of national and international events and currently serves as the President the German Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Association (DVSE). He has also been awarded the video and poster prize of the European Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Association (SECEC/ESSSE). For Prof. Scheibel, exchange with other specialists and passing on techniques and methods are essential in respect of continual improvement in the care suitable for the patient.
