About us

A wide range urogenital disorders in adults and children are treated at the Department of Urology.
A special focus is on chemotherapeutic, targeted and surgical treatment of kidney, bladder, prostate and testis cancer.

The Department of Urology is a European reference center for the treatment of carcinoma of the prostate and of testicular germ cell tumors. In this respect, we have specialized, in particular, in complicated reconstructive surgery on locally advanced cancer of the urogenital tract.
A special feature is the multimodal treatment of prostate
cancer in cooperation with the Department of Radiation Oncology.

The Department of Urology is one of the leading European centers carrying out radical salvage prostatectomy for local relapse after radiation treatment.
Every week, there is a CME certified inter-disciplinary prostate carcinoma conference. In addition, a second opinion consultation hour for patients with complex uro-oncological diseases has been organized. Special treatments and services, such as kidney transplants (also after living donations) and pediatric urology, are further highlights.
