About us

Asst Lect. Dr Schulte Baukloh is a specialist in conditions of the pelvic floor at “Turmstrasse Urology” in Berlin. Here, he focuses on urinary incontinence in women and men, the overactive urinary ladder and urge incontinence, pelvic floor and bladder prolapses as well as penile curvature.

“Turmstrasse Urology” is a modern group urology practice, which is headed by the prostate specialist, Dr Dirk Hoeppner and the pelvic floor specialist, Asst Lect. Dr Heinrich Schulte-Baukloh. Both specialists have had decades of experience in urology, are highly specialised in their fields and are at the cutting edge of science.
The group urology practice has a wide spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic options at its disposal (including transrectal sonography, colour Doppler sonography, flexible cystoscopy in HDMI quality, a urodynamic measuring system with uroflowmetry, cystotonometry and pressure flow studies). Here, the two specialists are supported by their specialised and very friendly team, which facilitates the best possible care for the patient.

It is important to Asst Lect. Dr Heinrich Schulte-Baukloh that, on the one hand, his patients are given the best possible diagnosis and treatment for their conditions and, on the other hand, the investigations, at the same time remain limited to what is needful.

The treatment emphases of the pelvic floor specialist include, for example, surgical elevation of the bladder, pelvic floor reconstruction, slingplasty and the implantation of artificial urethral sphincters for urinary incontinence, laparoscopic pelvic floor procedures (“keyhole technique“), as well as penile straightening.

Asst Lect. Dr Schulte-Baukloh studied human medicine in Freiburg and Vienna and completed his specialist training as a urologist at the Charité in Berlin, as well as overseas and at St. Hedwig’s Hospital, Berlin. He worked here for many years as a consultant and acquired additional qualifications such as “special urological surgery”, medical tumour treatment and andrology. Predominantly, as a pelvic floor specialist, he took a leading role in the organisation of the German Pelvic Floor Centre DBBZ - Urology Department.

He has also conducted numerous neurological research activities, both at home and overseas, particularly in the area of disorders of the bladder function and their treatment with botulinum toxin A (Botox). This was the topic of Asst Lect. Dr Schulte-Baukloh’s postdoctoral dissertation in 2009, at the Charité, Berlin.
Regular workshops are held in the group urology practice on the topic of the pelvic floor. In addition, Asst Lect. Dr Schulte-Baukloh is an active participant in national and international conferences and meetings.
