About us Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Florian Gebhard

The Clinic for Trauma Surgery, Hand Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery is the second oldest university chair in trauma surgery in Germany. It was founded in 1973 and this speaks for its long-term experience in the treatment of all kinds of injuries and their consequences. Additionally, all of the highly modern medical departments of the university hospital are available to provide comprehensive patient care.

With more than 100 beds, the Clinic for Trauma Surgery covers a broad surgical spectrum. This includes both outpatient and inpatient care of injuries to the extremities and the joints, the spinal column, the pelvis, the hand and soft tissues, but also all the conditions resulting from injuries.

The Clinic for Surgery at the University of Ulm will move into a new building by the end of 2011. At that time, highly modern single and double rooms with an optimized offering of services will be available.
The completely new technical equipment of the surgery center offers highly modern medicine with the special highlight of a navigation/hybrid OR for use in computer-assisted operations.
