In our Clinic for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Clinical Immunology all of the following are diagnosed and treated:
diseases of the hematopoietic system (anemia, leukemia, thrombopenia), cancers (tumors), coagulation disorders and immunological-rheumatological diseases in all age groups (infants, toddlers, adolescents). We offer the complete spectrum of a highly modern pediatric clinic with all available options for instrumental and laboratory diagnostics. In addition to standardized, well-tested treatments (according to the recommendations of the specialist organization), therapy also includes innovative, experimental procedures for diseases exhibiting the most severe course.
A focus is autologous and allogenic blood stemcell transplantation, including haploidentical transplantation in which the parents function as the stem cell donor for their ill child.
In the treatment of solid tumors – both for diagnosis and also in relapse patients – the clinic is also especially experienced in the administration of regional deep hyperthermia which occurs in addition to chemotherapy.
Another focus in the outpatient area is the diagnostic clarification and treatment of bone marrow diseases such as disorders affecting platelet formation or functioning, or acute and chronic anemia. Children with congenital or acquired disorders of hemostasis or blood coagulation such as hemophilia or Von Willebrand disease are cared for in our Outpatient Department for Coagulation Disorders. The Outpatient Department for Immunology treats children and adolescents with congenital immunodeficiencies and rheumatological diseases. Furthermore, we have a large Outpatient Department for children suffering from HIV/AIDS.
