Removing spider veins—quick and easy
From a medical standpoint, removing spider veins is not strictly necessary, as they are generally considered harmless. However, they can often indicate circulatory problems and should therefore be examined by a doctor.
For the removal of spider veins for cosmetic reasons, there are two proven methods:
- sclerotherapy of the affected veins
- laser treatment.
Larger spider veins, in particular, consist of large and medium-sized veins as well as very fine capillaries. In such cases, a combination of both treatment options is used.
The removal of spider veins is performed by experienced specialists in phlebology, vascular surgery, or angiology.
Sclerotherapy—Treating Spider Veins
