Dr. med. Patrick Müller

Dr. med. Patrick Müller holds the additional qualification in Invasive Electrophysiology and serves as Director of the electrophysiology centers at Knappschaft Kliniken Recklinghausen and Gelsenkirchen-Buer. In this role, he is responsible for the medical and organizational advancement of electrophysiology within Knappschaft Kliniken.

The Department of Electrophysiology at Knappschaft Kliniken Recklinghausen is among the few atrial fibrillation centers certified by the German Society of Cardiology (DGK) in Germany, thereby meeting defined quality and structural standards in the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

A particular focus of his clinical work is the application of advanced ablation techniques. The electrophysiology centers of Knappschaft Kliniken adopted a clear focus on Pulsed-Field Ablation (PFA) at an early stage and have developed a high level of expertise with this innovative technology. This enables targeted and tissue-sparing treatment for patients with various forms of cardiac arrhythmias.

Under his leadership, Knappschaft Kliniken offer the full spectrum of electrophysiological diagnostics and treatments. Patient care is delivered in close collaboration with the cardiology departments and is complemented by structured outpatient clinics, where cardiac arrhythmias are analyzed and individualized treatment options are developed jointly with patients.

Dr. Müller’s ongoing commitment makes a significant contribution to the professional and structural advancement of electrophysiology at both locations and strengthens both regional and supraregional care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
