With more than 20 years of professional experience as a consultant in surgery, orthopaedics and trauma surgery, he is considered a recognised specialist whose expertise in reconstructive joint surgery and sports injuries is in demand at various national and international congresses. In addition to his extensive experience as a surgeon, he has published a large number of papers in international journals and teaches at the University of Witten/Herdecke.
