In addition, Dr. Halwani is an active member of numerous medical associations, is invited as a speaker to national and international professional congresses, and personally organizes several professional and scientific events. Dr. Halwani enjoys an excellent reputation in his field. In Berlin, Dr. Halwani founded and has led the AG-CPC-certified dysplasia clinic since 2013, as well as the OnkoZert-certified gynecologic cancer center since 2015.
The medical services offered by the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics include all diagnostic and treatment methods, as well as a range of counseling services for pregnant women and for women with gender-specific health conditions.
A particular focus is placed on the detection and treatment of cancers affecting women, as well as on complex oncologic surgical therapy. The department’s main area of focus is the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian and peritoneal cancer in both primary and recurrent cases.
Dr. Halwani’s surgical expertise also includes radical surgery for uterine and cervical cancer using minimally invasive surgery as well as robot-assisted procedures.
The treatment of vulvar and vaginal cancers is regularly carried out in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics following appropriate evaluation in our certified dysplasia clinic.
The complete surgical treatment, as well as cosmetic reconstruction after a radical procedure, is offered and performed during the same session by our team trained in gynecologic oncology.
Inpatient chemotherapy, including as part of clinical studies, is also regularly provided in our gynecology department, depending on the type of cancer.
Complex endometriosis surgery is also another major focus. During a consultation, patients can obtain information or, if endometriosis is suspected, discuss the next steps directly with the specialist team.
Complex endometriosis surgery is also another major focus of the department. In a consultation, patients who would like more information, or who are suspected of having the condition, can discuss the next steps together with the specialist team. Surgical treatment is performed using minimally invasive techniques or robot-assisted procedures.
In addition, benign changes affecting the ovaries or fallopian tubes (such as cyst formation) and the uterus (such as fibroids or uterine anomalies) can be treated on an outpatient basis, or patients may seek a second opinion.
In addition to professional expertise, extensive experience, and professionalism in consultation and treatment, the clinic staff also place great importance on a trusting relationship with patients and on genuine human warmth.
