Dr Halwani is also an active member of numerous medical associations and is invited to national and international specialist conferences as a speaker and organises several specialist and scientific events himself. Dr Halwani enjoys an excellent reputation in his specialist field. In 2013, Dr Halwani founded the Dysplasia Clinic in Berlin, which is certified in accordance with AG-CPC and which he heads, and in 2015, the Gynaecological Cancer Centre, which is certified in accordance with OnkoZert.
The Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic operates under the umbrella of the Humboldt Vivantes Hospital, which, in turn, is affiliated with eight other Berlin hospitals within the Vivantes healthcare network, the Vivantes Netzwerk fuer Gesundheit GmbH. The Vivantes hospital group treats a half a million patients per year. The Humboldt Vivantes Hospital is an academic teaching hospital of the Berlin Charité and thus participates in the latest developments and insights of one of the most research-orientated university medical institutions in Germany.
The medical services portfolio of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic includes all diagnostic and treatment techniques, as well as various consulting services for expectant mothers and for gender-specific women’s health problems.
Here, particular focus is placed on the identification and treatment of cancer conditions in women, as well as complex surgical oncology treatment. The main focus of the Clinic is the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian and peritoneal cancer in primary and relapse situations.
Dr Halwani also specialises in radical surgery for uterine and cervical cancer using the minimally invasive surgery and robot-assisted techniques available at the Humboldt Vivantes Hospital.
Cancer conditions of the vulva and vagina are treated consistently in our certified dysplasia clinic at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic in accordance with the appropriate concept.
The complete surgical and cosmetic treatment following a radical procedure is offered in the same consultation and is performed by our gynaecology- / oncology-trained team.
In-patient chemotherapy, also within the framework of a study, is also performed regularly, depending on the type of cancer, in our gynaecology clinic.
Another focus of the department is complex endometriosis surgery. Patients who would like to learn about this or who suspect the condition can discuss a further course of action with our specialist team in a consultation. The surgical treatment is performed using minimally invasive or robot-assisted techniques.
At the same time, a second opinion can be obtained here concerning benign changes in the ovaries or the Fallopian tubes (cyst formation) and in the uterus (such as fibroids or uterine malformations) and procedures for these can also be performed, if possible, as out-patient procedures.
Together with specialist competence, extensive experience and professionalism in counselling and treatment, a confident relationship with the patients and human warmth are also close to the hearts of the Clinic’s personnel.
