These modern methods are significantly less invasive, cause less postoperative pain, and allow for a quicker return to daily life.

Removal of the uterus marks the end of menstruation and the ability to conceive and carry a child naturally. If the ovaries are also removed, the woman immediately enters menopause, which may require appropriate hormonal treatment.
