Dr. Maik Brandes serves as Head of the Department of Pulmonology and Ventilatory Medicine at Clemenshospital Münster. He brings extensive expertise in the field of lung and airway diseases and is particularly dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as lung cancer and pleural mesothelioma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, and sleep-related breathing disorders.

In addition, he oversees specialized clinics for patients with interstitial lung involvement associated with rheumatologic diseases, as well as a weaning center dedicated to ventilator liberation.
