Prof. Dr. Konstantinos Anagnostakos is a renowned specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery with a particular focus on endoprosthetics, revision and replacement procedures, as well as minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques. Since September 15, 2025, he has served as Chief Physician of the Department of Joint Surgery and Sports Traumatology at Nardini Klinikum, Zweibrücken location, in joint leadership with Dr. Burkhardt Muschalik. Prior to that, he headed the department at Klinikum Saarbrücken, where he significantly expanded the scope of joint surgery and established the hospital as a reference center for hip revision endoprosthetics.
A key focus of his work lies in the implantation and revision of hip and knee prostheses. As an experienced endoprosthetics specialist, he performs both primary procedures and complex revision surgeries—for example, in cases of loosened or infected prostheses. Together with his team in the Department of Joint Surgery and Sports Traumatology, he covers a broad range of treatments: from modern endoprosthetics and arthroscopic procedures on the knee, shoulder, and ankle to the management of complex joint injuries in sports and trauma surgery. Since 2014, Nardini Klinikum has been certified as an EndoProsthetics Center according to EndoCert® standards, ensuring the highest level of quality in joint surgery.
His medical expertise is built on comprehensive training and many years of surgical experience. Prof. Dr. Anagnostakos completed his medical studies at Saarland University Medical Center in Homburg and is internationally recognized for his work in endoprosthetics and revision surgery. Through the use of cutting-edge surgical techniques, precise prosthesis planning, and navigation-assisted implantation, he sets new standards in the treatment of patients requiring hip or knee replacements. His goal is to restore mobility and quality of life as quickly and gently as possible.
