Dr. Kai Wiemer

Dr. Kai Wiemer is an experienced specialist in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, currently serving as Chief of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine II at the Knappschaft Kliniken in Recklinghausen. He has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal as well as liver and pancreatic diseases. Dr. Wiemer is known for his holistic approach to patient care and emphasizes close collaboration with his team to ensure the best possible treatment.

Dr. Wiemer completed his medical studies at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and gained comprehensive experience in various clinical fields during his training. After obtaining his medical license, he pursued numerous advanced trainings that led him to become a specialist in gastroenterology. He is particularly distinguished by his expertise in endoscopy, the diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancers, and the treatment of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.
