Dr. med. Jan Hagemann

Dr. Jan Hagemann, MD, who works at the Center for Rhinology and Allergology and is a partner at the ENT practice in downtown Wiesbaden, completed his undergraduate studies and residency at LMU M&Munich, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and the University Medical Center Mainz, where he most recently served as a senior physician. Dr. Jan Hagemann specializes in head and neck surgery for children and adults, utilizing modern, minimally invasive techniques.

His medical expertise is based on many years of clinical experience in head and neck surgery, the treatment of tumors, and high-resolution ultrasound diagnostics. Until 2023, he oversaw the certified Head and Neck Tumor Center at the University Medical Center Mainz. In addition, Dr. Hagemann has special expertise in the field of allergology and is part of a renowned practice specializing in allergology.Using modern diagnostic methods, he develops individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of his patients. This includes the use of provocation tests and modern multiplex techniques. Because all treatment options—from conservative therapy to surgical intervention and modern, targeted biologic therapy—can be offered, the long-term treatment plan can be tailored very specifically to each patient’s situation.

In addition to his work in patient care, Dr. Hagemann is actively engaged in medical research. With over 140 scientific publications and a high level of international scientific visibility, he directly links current research findings to clinical practice. Through his work at the “Center for Rhinology and Allergology” research center, clinical trials can also be offered and implemented as needed. Dr. Jan Hagemann is a member of the ENT Executive Board of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) and a member of the Advisory Board of the Association of German Allergists (AeDA).
