The clinical emphases of Prof. Scheibel are in specialized surgery and endoprosthetics to the shoulder and elbow. Here, Prof. Scheibel performs both open and arthroscopic surgery. As minimal invasive techniques, shoulder and elbow arthroscopy are intended to keep the patient’s stress as low as possible. An individually prepared, multidisciplinary accompanied therapeutic concept provides the patient with customized treatment and sustainable recovery.
The therapeutic range also includes endoprostheses, that is, artificial joint replacement for the shoulder and elbow joint. Prof. Scheibel discusses what type of prosthesis is the right one for his patients in the personal consultation. A shoulder or elbow prosthesis is employed when the joint damage is also very advanced and conservative measures do not produce satisfactory results. To be able to participate actively and pain-free in life again or to return to sports following a shoulder injury, it is advisable to know you have an experienced expert by your side. The shoulder and elbow specialist, Prof. Scheibel, is looking forward to your contact request!
