Associate Lecturer Dr. Sied Kebir is a renowned expert in neurooncology and heads the Clinical Neurooncology Department at Essen University Hospital. The Clinical Neurooncology Center headed by Associate Lecturer Dr. Sied Kebir is part of the Department of Neurology at Essen University Hospital and is one of the leading facilities for the treatment of brain tumors in Germany. The clinic is closely connected to the West German Tumor Center (WTZ), one of the largest tumor centers in the country, and offers patients interdisciplinary care at the highest level. Particularly noteworthy is the close cooperation with the Clinic for Neurosurgery and Spinal Surgery, one of the largest neurosurgical departments in Germany. With 80 beds, including 18 intensive care beds, and four state-of-the-art operating theaters with innovative technologies, the clinic offers a comprehensive range of neuro-oncological procedures. The equipment includes advanced surgical microscopes with fluorescence techniques (YELLOW 560, BLUE 400, INFRARED 800), intraoperative imaging using neuronavigation platforms and high-end ultrasound equipment as well as state-of-the-art electrophysiological monitoring units.

Associate Lecturer Dr. Sied Kebir has acquired his additional qualification in intensive care medicine, which enables him to provide comprehensive care for seriously ill patients with complex organ disorders and coordinate interdisciplinary treatments. He has also renewed his additional qualification in drug-based tumor therapy, enabling him to continue to offer state-of-the-art pharmacological treatments for patients with solid tumors, particularly those of the central nervous system. His expertise includes the indication, implementation and monitoring of various therapy methods - from cytostatic and immunomodulatory therapies to anti-hormonal approaches and supportive treatments. Thanks to this highly specialized training, he guarantees oncological care at the highest level and ensures that his patients have access to the latest and most effective treatment strategies.
