Primarius a. D. (DE) Dr. med. Wolfgang Zinser

Dr. Zinser specializes in preserving joints whenever possible. For two decades, he has been involved nationally and internationally as an educator, speaker, and advisor to patients and colleagues in joint and cartilage regeneration. Dr. Zinser was chief physician at St. Vinzenz Hospital in Dinslaken from April 2007 to January 2022, where about 1,000 patients were treated annually with joint-preserving surgery. Since July 1, 2022, Dr. Zinser has his professional and private center of life in Styria in Austria and founded a center for joint-preserving orthopedics. He is also president of the QKG (Society for Cartilage Regeneration and Joint Preservation) (www.qkg-ev.de) and enables his patients to receive the best possible treatment thanks to his extensive experience and expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine. As a former national track and field squad athlete (triple jump), he is particularly good at empathizing with the concerns and problems of injured athletes. His focus is in the surgical specialties listed above.
In addition, he offers numerous modern conservative therapies, including hyaluronic acid injections, platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections, and cartilage-protective physical therapy, among others. As Medical Director of the Metagil Physical Outpatient Clinic, he cooperates closely with physiotherapists and practicing colleagues, as well as with the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV), thus ensuring that his patients receive optimal care. Dr. Zinser works as an elective physician and does not have a contract with the health insurance companies, which offers the great advantage that he can devote sufficient time to each individual patient. His personal concern is to respond individually to the problems of each patient, to answer all questions patiently and to find the best solution together.
