About the clinic
At the Vascular Center of the Knappschaft Kliniken Püttlingen, patients benefit from close collaboration between the departments of angiology and vascular surgery. Thanks to this interdisciplinary collaboration, vascular diseases can be comprehensively diagnosed and treated on an individual basis— ranging from circulatory disorders and venous diseases to complex vascular changes. We utilize modern imaging techniques and minimally invasive treatment approaches that enable precise and as gentle as possible care.
Dr. med. Christiane Jochum is the director of the Vascular Center and chief physician of angiology and internal intensive care medicine. Her medical focus is on the diagnosis and conservative treatment of vascular diseases. These include, among other things, arterial circulatory disorders, venous diseases, and the prevention and treatment of vascular risk factors. Patients appreciate her comprehensive expertise in internal medicine as well as her structured and personalized care. Drawing on her many years of experience, Dr. Jochum combines modern vascular medicine with a holistic approach to her patients’ health.
Dr. med. Uwe Gabsch serves as Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery in Püttlingen. He is one of the most experienced specialists in endovascular procedures, in which vascular diseases are treated using minimally invasive catheter techniques. His focus is particularly on minimally invasive surgical methods, which are often associated with shorter recovery times and less stress for patients. Together with his team, Dr. Gabsch treats the full spectrum of vascular surgical conditions—from peripheral artery disease to aneurysms and complex vascular reconstructions.
The close collaboration between angiology and vascular surgery at the Püttlingen Vascular Center ensures a high standard of medical care. Here, patients receive personalized treatment from a single source—from initial diagnosis through follow-up care. Modern treatment approaches, interdisciplinary expertise, and adherence to current medical standards make the center an important point of contact for vascular diseases in the Saarland and beyond.
