Mohamed Issam Zabad has specialized in various urological procedures throughout his career. He has extensive experience in endourology, which deals with the minimally invasive treatment of diseases of the urinary tract, as well as in stone therapy, which aims to remove kidney and urinary stones. In uro-oncology, another focus of his work, he treats patients with urological tumors using the latest diagnostic and therapeutic methods. His expertise also extends to surgery of the external genitalia and penile surgery, in which he performs both functional and esthetic procedures.
Another important field of activity is urogynaecology, in which Zabad focuses in particular on the treatment of incontinence problems.
Since October 2022, Mohamed Issam Zabad has also held the position of Managing Senior Physician and Head of the Incontinence and Uro-Gynecology Section at Klinikum Idar-Oberstein SHG. The clinic, as a center for specialist care, is integrated into the Rhineland-Palatinate state hospital plan and is one of the leading healthcare facilities in southwest Germany. Under Zabad's responsibility, the clinic was certified and recognized as an advisory centre of the German Continence Society, which underlines its special expertise in the treatment of incontinence. His role as head of this section highlights the importance he attaches to further development and specialization in urology. In addition to his clinical work, Mohamed Issam Zabad is also Managing Director of the Franco-German Medical Care Center in Saarbrücken-St. Arnual. This center, which has been under the medical direction of Dr. med. univ. Nicolas Rickert since July 2023, benefits significantly from Zabad's support and experience. Through his efforts, the care center has developed into an important point of contact for patients in the region.
Mohamed Issam Zabad has an excellent network not only nationally but also internationally. His memberships in renowned specialist societies, including the German Society of Urology (DGU), the European Association of Urology (EAU) and the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM), the world's largest society for sexual medicine, are proof of his commitment to international exchange and ongoing training in the field of urology. He also maintains close links with Misr University of Science and Technology in Cairo/Egypt, the university where he graduated in human medicine in 2008 and subsequently gained valuable experience as a junior doctor in Syria before coming to Germany in 2011 to continue his professional career here. His international background and experience make him a particularly versatile and culturally sensitive doctor who provides his patients with comprehensive and individualized care in every respect. His work both in his practice and in the clinic makes a decisive contribution to the further development of urological care in the region.
