Dr. Wingenbach is a specialist in plastic and esthetic surgery. He completed his studies in medicine at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and gained his doctorate in 2002 at the Ruhr University in Bochum. Today, Dr. Wingenbach is among the most experienced and practiced plastic surgeons in Germany; his focus is on breast surgery and microsurgical breast reconstruction, as well as esthetic and reconstructive breast, body contouring and facial surgery. After his advanced training in general surgery, trauma surgery and intensive care medicine, Dr. Wingenbach moved to the Department of Plastic and Esthetic Surgery, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at the Markus Hospital in Frankfurt am Main in 2003. Most recently, he held the position of Principal Consultant and Deputy to the Chief Physician in this department for a number of years.
Here, with executive responsibility, he was in charge of microsurgery and breast reconstruction and worked in the associated interdisciplinary Breast Center. Since 2012, Dr. Wingenbach has worked at his plastic and esthetic surgery practice as a licensed physician. The unique quality of his practice consists in also being able to provide the option of the entire range of esthetic and plastic surgery, right up to the most technically demanding microsurgery procedures, in the private area with high case numbers. Dr. Wingenbach collaborates with numerous certified breast centers in the Rhine-Main region in order to provide reconstructive, microsurgical breast surgery following breast cancer. As a specialist in plastic and esthetic surgery, Dr. Wingenbach predominantly performs shape-changing and restorative procedures across the entire area of the body, which are either desired by the patients on purely esthetic grounds or are necessary on purely functional grounds. Here, in particular, Dr. Wingenbach’s emphases include breast surgery and microsurgery. Within the context of breast surgery, Dr. Wingenbach performs both microsurgical breast reconstruction following tumor excision and plastic-esthetic breast surgery such as breast enlargement with implants or autologous fat, breast equalization for asymmetrical breasts, breast lift for flaccid and sagging breasts or breast reduction.
Dr. Wingenbach utilizes microsurgery, which is performed using a surgical microscope in order to make tiny anatomical structures visible, inter alia, for tumor reconstruction, nasal reconstruction, penile reconstruction or surgery for restoring the facial expression for facial paralysis. In order to understand the individual situation of each patient properly, Dr. Wingenbach takes a great amount of time for a thorough and transparent consultation before he advises the performance of the appropriate procedure and he then also carries out the procedure. Dr. Wingenbach also unfailingly supports his patients following surgery over the course of the aftercare. As an active member of the public charities, Interplast and ProInterplast, Dr. Wingenbach regularly organizes and leads humanitarian aid missions in the third world. Dr. Wingenbach is a member of numerous professional associations and regularly presents his scientific papers in numerous national and international lectures, publications and medical films.
