Every vascular disease progresses differently. That is why the Vascular Center focuses not only on the disease, but on the individual patient. Following a thorough diagnostic evaluation, the treatment team develops a personalized treatment plan. Whenever possible, modern conservative or minimally invasive procedures are used. If surgery is necessary, established open and endovascular surgical procedures are performed in accordance with current medical standards.
About the clinic
The Vascular Center at the Evangelical Hubertus Hospital in Berlin (together with the MIC Clinic, part of the Evangelical Hospital Berlin Southwest gGmbH) brings together the departments of vascular, angiology, and interventional radiology under one roof. Thanks to close interdisciplinary collaboration, vascular diseases can be comprehensively diagnosed and treated on an individualized basis. From conservative therapy and modern minimally invasive catheter procedures to complex vascular surgical procedures, patients receive care in accordance with current medical standards.
The range of treatments includes, among others, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), aortic aneurysms, carotid artery diseases, venous diseases, dialysis access, and diabetic foot syndrome. State-of-the-art diagnostics, streamlined coordination, and personalized care enable treatment that is optimally tailored to the specific condition and the patient’s individual needs.
Dr. med. Shahram Yousefi is Chief Physician of the Clinic for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Director of the Berlin-Brandenburg Vascular Center. His practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of complex vascular diseases using state-of-the-art open and endovascular surgical techniques. Together with his team, he develops individualized treatment plans based on the latest scientific findings and the needs of his patients.
Dr. med. Kerstin Westphalen is Chief Physician at the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Medical Director of the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Hubertus. With her expertise in modern imaging and interventional radiology, she lays the foundation for precise diagnostics and supports minimally invasive treatment procedures, which play a central role in today’s vascular medicine.
Nalan Zöllinger is a specialist in internal medicine and angiology and heads the angiology outpatient clinic. She specializes in the diagnosis and conservative treatment of diseases of the arterial, venous, and lymphatic vascular systems and supports her patients from early detection through long-term follow-up care. Working closely with the vascular surgery and radiology departments, she develops individualized treatment plans to ensure optimal care.
