Prof. Dr. Christoph G. Wölfl

Prof. Dr Christoph G. Wölfl is one of the most experienced specialists in the field of orthopaedics and trauma surgery. As Head of the Department of Orthopaedics, Trauma Surgery and Sports Traumatology, as well as Hand and Plastic Surgery at the Marienhaus Klinikum Neuwied, he is responsible for the treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. In addition, he is Medical Director of the Musculoskeletal Centre and Head of the Trauma Centre, where the interdisciplinary treatment of seriously injured patients is ensured to the highest medical standards.

His specialist focus lies in modern trauma surgery, the treatment of complex injuries, and the orthopaedic and traumatological care of patients. With specialist qualifications in surgery and in orthopaedics and trauma surgery, the additional qualification in specialised trauma surgery, and his qualification in emergency medicine, Prof. Dr Wölfl combines extensive surgical experience with in-depth expertise in the care of acutely and seriously injured patients. As a long-standing ATLS course director and human factors trainer, he is also committed to the continuous development of medical standards and the optimisation of patient safety.

In addition to his clinical work, Prof. Dr Wölfl is active nationally and internationally in medical continuing education and training, as well as in scientific exchange.
