Special Clinical Focus

  • Microsurgical treatment of brain tumors
  • Therapy of skull base tumors (pituitary adenoma, acoustic neuroma)

About us

Medical care, research and science are the main tasks of the Department of Neurosurgery which is located on the campus Benjamin Franklin (CBF), campus Virchow Medical Center (CVK) and campus Charité (CCM, research only). At these three locations, we cover the complete spectrum of disorders of the peripheral and central nervous system. Each year, we perform about 4,000 surgeries in our modern operating rooms. The whole staff of the Department of Neurosurgery is delighted at your interest in our institute. We are available for you 24/7.

Through his profile page on Leading Medicine Guide, Prof. Dr. med. Peter Vajkoczy reaches a large number of patients - far beyond the German-speaking countries. In the last twelve months alone, his website generated 2,355 hits via the English page, 1,368 via his Arabic profile page and a further 944 hits from the Russian region. Not to forget, of course, the page views in German: That was a total of 11,167 (as of November 2019).
