About us Prof. Dr. med. Robert Krämer

Prof. Robert Krämer, MD, serves as Chief of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery as well as Hand Surgery and is recognized as one of the most experienced specialists in his field. He is board-certified in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery and also holds additional qualifications in Hand Surgery and Emergency Medicine. In his clinical practice, he combines precise surgical expertise with a strong commitment to delivering advanced, patient-centered medical care.

His scope of practice encompasses the full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery. This includes aesthetic procedures, reconstructive operations following disease or injury, hand surgery, and complex tumor surgery. The primary objective of his work is to restore both function and appearance to the greatest extent possible, thereby improving patients’ quality of life in a lasting and meaningful way.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Prof. Krämer is actively involved in research and medical education. He studied medicine at institutions including Hannover Medical School and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the United States and was later appointed Professor at the University of Lübeck. His scientific work and extensive surgical experience continuously contribute to the advancement of modern plastic surgery treatment concepts.
